- Description
- Black and white photo image of the steamer Greenwood. She was built by Captain Greene at Parkersburg, WV and completed in Ironton. ON her maiden trip, October, 1898, she left Portsmouth and sank when she hit a snag at the mouth of the Scioto River. She was raised and repaired and ran the Cincinnati-Pomeroy-Charleston trades until she collided with the Chris Greene and sank in 1925.
