York Place occupied the site of the Gaylord Rolling Mills, stretching from Front Street to Court and Chillicothe. Also pictured: Millbrook Pavillion, and the Selby Factory Flower Garden. This was located beside the Selby Shoe Factory. The 1920 Portsmouth City Directory lists The Selby Shoe Company location as Seventh (7th) Street from Findlay to John. Selbys closed in 1957.
