- In 1900, the Railroad Y. M. C. A. was located conveniently near the N & W Railroad yards at the end of Norfolk Street. It was razed in about 1980.
The picture of the old Esplanade in 1973 also shows Marting's and the Montgomery Ward Building, later used by a bank, facing the Esplanade.
