Description
Black and white photo image of a fire hose demonstration on the fire escape at the Washington Hotel, built in 1901 at the corner of Second (2nd) and Market Streets. From 1939 to 1956 it was known as the Milner Hotel. In 1979 the Washington Hotel became part of the Riverview Retirement Center serving the elderly and handicapped.
