The contest consisted of 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students from Fourth Street, the Catholic schools, Lincoln school, Highland avenue, and the Eleventh Street schools. Inscription reads: "Korn Karnival Chorus Contest, 3-4-5 Grade Pupils, Portsmouth, Ohio. Lincoln Building, 1915"
