Brown paper bag with black print and illustration with red. Flour back for "J.M. Pierce, Grahamsville, Ohio." Jacob Pierce ran his mill near Jackson, O. The bag was from the Milhouse on the farm of the Pierce Milling Co. The milling equipment from the Millhouse is now located at the Bob Evans Farm in Rio Grande, Ohio.
Green wide-ruled notebook with the Jefferson Township (Lucasville) meeting minutes inside. Written on the front: "Fire Dept. started 3/30/1959 to 4/1964." Written on the first page are the first president, vice-president, secretary, assistant secretary, treasurer, and trustee of the Fire Department in 1959.
Off-white, cream colored embroidered baby shawl made by Sophia Dold Cranston in the 1870's from wool made at the Cranston Woolen Mill in Wheelersburg, Ohio. Sophia died in 1883 at 23 years old. The Cranston Woolen Mill was started by Edward Cranston in the 1820's and then managed by Jeremiah Cranston who was the father of Sophia's husband Francis Edward Cranston. In 1887 his son James took over the business. The Woolen Mill was converted to a flour mill in 1897.
A cream colored marriage certificate with yellow, white, and pink flower illustrations for John Linck and Mary Amelia Buechler. There is a small colored illustration at the bottom of the page. Had to be taped back together. Most of the words written are in German. John Linck came to Portsmouth with his family when he was 12 from Germany. He attended Union Street School. He was a very well known barber in Portsmouth for 35 years. His wife Mary was born and raised here in Portsmouth.

Worn appearance and torn. Had to be taped together. Athur Linck was born to John and Mary Linck in Portsmouth, Ohio March 18, 1891 and died June 21, 1982.
