Clear half-pint bottle from Select Dairy of Portsmouth, Ohio. Near the top rim says: "Drink Milk for health." Under the Select Dairy logo is "Visit Our Farm." Near the bottom is "Portsmouth, Ohio." On the bottom is a letter "S." Nick Argeros started Select Dairy in the early 1920's. In the 1950's the plant was at 2345 Gallia Street.

Clear glass NEHI beverage bottle with all over embossed design. near the center Nehi logo is: "Reg. U.S. Pat. Off. 9 fluid ounces minimum contents." At the bottom: "Nehi Bottling Co. Portsmouth, Ohio."
May 21, 1930, page 12 Portsmouth Times ad: "Nehi, Chero Cola Bottling Works, Carbonated Beverages, All Flavors, At all Dealers, Ask for Pasteurized Chocolate Soda,--317 2nd St., Phone 284." Nehi Bottling Works of 116 Jefferson St. advertised Royal Crown Cola on page 20 of the Portsmouth Times October 13, 1939.

Jake Bonzo and his son Ernest had for several years operated Bonzo Dairy east of Greenup as mentioned in the Portsmouth Times, April 10, 1948, page 1.
