Photo image of scanned scrapbook page. Pictured is Moses Gregory, a pioneer of Scioto County. Gregory was born March 24, 1801 near Chillicothe. He had two stalls in Market House for his butcher business. In the 1830's, Gregory was elected Scioto County Auditor consecutively, and in 1841, he took a seat as State Legislature for Gallia, Lawrence, and Scioto Counties. Hibbs, founder of Hibbs Hardware, cut from Pictorial Portsmouth. Color postcard depicting a scene in the Taylorton Woods. This was where the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Harry E. Taylor was located, near Rushtown. Mr. Taylor was the editor/ owner of the Portsmouth Times from around 1920 to 1930.
