The fire at the Gilbert Grocery Company building, located at 50-54 W Second 2nd Street, Portsmouth, Ohio, started on October 22, 1910, around 12pm. The building was burnt to the ground by the following day. Undetermined origin of the fire, which is believed to have started on the fourth floor.

Officers signed the certificate and has a stamp with the V. F. W. of the United States burning torch emblem.
This is what we believe to be my grandfather's grandfather John Hudson married appox. 1861 to Celia. My grandfather was raised by the Hudson's due to my grandfather's mother passing after childbirth. Father unknown as yet. The photo is a reproduction so I don't have anything to go by.
