Black and white photo image of the Y. M. C. A. building in Portsmouth, Ohio. The building was built in 1906 and was located at the corner of Gallia and Norfolk Streets. It was built by the N & W Railroad for railroad employees' sleeping quarters. It was closed in 1960 and razed in 1968.

From 1939 to 1956 it was known as the Milner Hotel. In 1979 the Washington House became part of the Riverview Retirement Center development serving the elderly and handicapped.
